What You'll Do:
- As an Accounting Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth accounting operations by performing the following duties:
- Post Deposits and Payments: Accurately post bank wire/check deposits, machine payments, and dealer sales bonuses weekly.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Handle a variety of accounts functions, from processing invoices to assisting with LTL invoicing and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Administrative Support: Assist with filing, maintaining logs, backing up administrators, and liaising with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
- Month-End Preparation: Contribute to month-end closing by combining National Accounts and preparing statements.
Qualifications What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or post-high school business courses.
- Experience: 2+ years in clerical accounting or similar roles.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and accounting software.
- Work Environment: Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and handle light to moderate lifting.
