Hey there.

We’re on the hunt for an Art Director. But not just any Art Director. Our Art Directors do a lot more than make things pretty. They’re more like Idea Directors, because that’s where they start — with an idea. Sure, they are gifted Photoshoppers, know Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, and love finding workarounds to bring concepts to life. To them, making a gif is old-school and using AI is new-school. Above all, selling ideas is what it’s about. If you need to grab your iPhone and shoot a short film, you’re all in. (We shoot lots of social assets, btw.)

We don’t need a resume full of global brands, but we do need someone with 3-6 years of agency experience that loves and cares about craft, typography, and is obsessed with details.

A Little About Us.

VIA is a 31-year-old, award-winning agency in Portland, Maine. We love our winters, but nothing beats our summers. Our office was the first library in Maine, built in 1853. It’s old. It’s haunted. But it’s definitely not a cube farm. We don’t work on Fridays. You heard me. We have crazy-good benefits. We don’t have a pool table. We have a bocce court. We also send people on random “Go-Dos” which means their name is pulled from a hat and they have to go do things — like go to Burning Man or to the North Pole. Seriously, both happened.

Above all we do killer work for national brands, contributing to their success as much as our own.
