Job Description
Southern Trace is looking for an experienced Auto Cad Drafter with experience in residential home design. Candidates must be proficient in drafting software and have a strong understanding of design principles related to residential construction. This role involves working with customers, project managers, and engineers to develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and 3D renderings.
Duties and Tasks:
· Develop and prepare detailed home designs with detailed specifications using software such as a Chief Architect, AutoCad, Revit, and SketchUp
· Collaborate with our PM’s and Engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate drafts.
· Review and revise drawings based on feedback from PM’s and engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes.
· Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance to plans and building codes.
· Prepare project documentation for permit submittal.
Experience and Skills:
· Proficiency in drafting softwares.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team environment.
· Excellent communication skills with clients, coworkers and associates.
· Background in architecture or engineering is advantageous but not essential for all candidates.
