Job Description

AWS is seeking an exceptional Data Center Security Manager with a proven track record supporting security programs within cleared facilities, demonstrable program/project management experience, comprehensive program security knowledge, and a deep understanding of government security programs, processes, and requirements.

The Data Center Security Manager (DSM) at an AWS site will oversee multiple security disciplines supporting classified operations and manage projects to protect personnel, National Security Information, and infrastructure from threats. Responsibilities include managing onsite security forces, developing security procedures, handling incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, and security procedures
• Handle site incidents and security technology testing
• Manage vendors and ensure deployment of security policies
• Participate in audits and reviews
• Demonstrate resilient leadership and strong communication skills

About The Team

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) manages global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling. The team comprises diverse roles including engineers, security experts, and operations managers, committed to safety, security, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years managing contract and physical security programs (Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV)
• 2+ years proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• 2+ years experience in security patrolling and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in security documentation and reporting
• 1+ years experience with LENEL or C-cure systems
• 1+ years experience with trouble ticket systems
• 2+ years experience with investigations (accidents, thefts, disturbances)
