Job Description
As the Defensive Line for the Finance department, you will support the SVP Finance and the RBDC Finance LT by providing process and project management, strategic scheduling, prioritization, team communication, and administrative work.
RESPONSIBILITIES Areas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
- PEOPLE & PROJECT MANAGEMENT Support SVP Finance and the Finance LT in managing and tracking key Finance projects, initiatives, and deliverables. Follow up with key stakeholders and escalate issues to ensure timely project and task completion. Assist with major activities After Action Reviews Become a Subject Matter Expert in Finance Process Taxonomy and drive best practices implementation.
- STRATEGIC SCHEDULING AND PRIORITIZATION Support SVP Finance with maintenance and organization of the calendar, e-mail, and To-do's Ensure clear meeting objectives, determine priority, cancel, reschedule, or delegate as needed. Assist in prioritizing and delegating ad hoc tasks and e-mail requests to ensure urgent matters are timely resolved. Identify and ensure all relevant cadencies are planned and executed, including but not limited to routine meetings, 1:1s, team meetings, project updates, 'free' time, etc.
- TEAM MEETING MANAGEMENT Schedule and organize Finance team meetings and events. Develop meeting agendas, prepare materials, and prioritize talking points to ensure key issues are identified & addressed. Coordinate support staff and guests for Finance team meetings and events Maintained notes and due-outs and conducted follow-ups for Finance team meetings.
- COMMUNICATION Build and maintain a strong network of effective relationships across RBDC. Assist in communication flow to the SSC, ensuring effective information sharing and strong engagement. Manage RBDC Finance SharePoint site on the HUB and ensure the collaboration resources are current. Liaison with the Defensive Lines for RBNA Finance, RBDC Talent, and RBDC President on key communication and initiatives
- SPECIAL PROJECTS & AD HOC SUPPORT Provide ad-hoc project support as determined by the SVP Finance Deep dive into specific areas of the business or Finance department Identify and provide feedback to SVP Finance, as necessary.
EXPERIENCE Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Administration
- 3 years of experience, preferably working with Finance processes.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining effective working relationships within and across departments.
- Outstanding ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MSOffice (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office applications
- Detail-oriented and focused
- Desire to expand Finance process knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a self-directed manner.
- Project management experience
- SharePoint / Web page maintenance skills
