To be successful in this role, you:
- Hold bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or similar major
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years in relational database development experiences.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years in cloud data warehouse development experiences, including data warehouse full lifecycle project experience and data integration experiences.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience years with data pipeline development and cloud data warehouse development, preferably dimensional data warehouse.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with data ingestion frameworks or relevant experience with other cloud-based ETL tool(s).
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with metadata and data governance practices.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years healthcare plan or other healthcare IT experience and the Knowledge of the healthcare industry business transaction processing preferred.
- Have previous lead experience with technical teams preferred.
- Have knowledge and experience of cloud database management systems, such as Snowflake, AWS and Azure strongly preferred.
- Serve as the owner of ETL technical standards, processes, and documentation.
- Lead and maintain ETL application development standards, quality assurance guidelines, regulatory compliance, data governance, and technical documentation.
- Oversee the analysis, design, prototyping, development, and unit testing of ETL applications.
- Ensure automated updates of data warehouse dimensions to minimize business interruptions.
- Provide technical direction to ETL developers and lead technical improvements and knowledge transfer.
- Act as the technical escalation point for production support and projects, resolving issues as needed.
- Lead the design and development of new data acquisition and integration processes for the data warehouse.
- Manage data extraction processes to meet regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Develop and optimize data warehouse applications for performance and accuracy.
- Conduct unit testing, identify errors in program logic, and verify functionality and compliance with user specifications.
- Participate in design and code reviews, communicate project status and design issues to management, and recommend procedural or tool changes.
- Update and develop documentation for applications and development processes, ensuring conformance with departmental and organizational standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of relational database concepts, dimensional data warehouse models, data warehousing methodologies, and major database management systems such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure SQL, AWS Redshift, Oracle, etc. Understanding of enterprise data management concepts (Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing, Data Science and Data Applications)
- Ability to automate data ingest processes using ETLWorks, SSIS, Qlik Compose, or other data integration tools such as Snowpipe, Fivetran, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, StreamSets
- Experience implementing data load monitoring processes to automate the detection and resolution of errors.
- Experience in the use of agile or iterative-type software development lifecycles and techniques.
- Ability to organize tasks, timelines, and delivery schedules and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Managed care health plan and/or health care industry experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 71X (see full range below) and has a 10% annual incentive target based on company, department, and individual performance goals.
