Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our Behavioral Health team. The LPC will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling services to clients dealing with a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to create personalized treatment plans for each client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions to clients of diverse backgrounds, addressing a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and stress management.
• Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others, based on the client’s needs.
• Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain confidential records of client sessions and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health care through continuing education, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary and manage high-risk clients appropriately.
• Adhere to all state regulations, ethical guidelines, and professional standards for mental health counseling.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in [State].
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting.
• Strong knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.).
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
