Job Description

Make meaningful difference in your community!!

Maximus has an exciting new opportunity in the State of Colorado for Licensed Mental Health Professionals to provide a valuable service to the adult citizens of Colorado while earning flexible supplemental income.

We invite you to learn more about joining our quality-driven independent contractor network!

About Maximus Clinical Services:

Maximus is a national industry leader in providing specialized assessment services, with the mission of ensuring that the vulnerable populations we serve receive appropriate care and support to promote the best quality of life. We are dedicated advocates for individuals in need and truly passionate about what we do!

We provide expert consulting and management services to states across the country, and we are thrilled to be partnering with the State of Colorado to manage the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) program starting this summer!

PASRR and Opportunity Overview:

PASRR is a powerful and effective program established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This federally required program assesses all individuals who are seeking admittance to a Medicaid-certified nursing facility, to ensure that individuals with serious mental illness, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities are placed in the least restrictive setting and receive recommended services to improve their quality of life.

We are contracting with Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) across the State of Colorado to administer these PASRR assessments on a flexible, PRN basis.

This is a wonderful opportunity to earn extra money, have a flexible schedule, and provide a valuable service to adult citizens in your community.

Position Details and Responsibilities:

  • This is a PRN, independent contractor position.
  • Assessments can be accepted or declined as your schedule allows. There are no quotas.
  • Contact the facility where the individual is located and schedule a time to meet with the individual to be assessed.
  • Review all supporting documentation and available medical records.
  • Complete and return PASRR assessment to Maximus within 48 hours of accepting the referral.
  • Assessments typically occur at hospitals and nursing facilities but may be at an alternative location on occasion.
  • Assessments will be offered within your community and surrounding communities. There is no office to report to.
  • Compensation is per completed assessment.

We are seeking candidates in and around the following counties:

  • Crowley, Otero, Bent, Prowers, and Las Animas
  • Phillips, Washington, Yuma, and Logan
  • Garfield, Rio Blanco, and Eagle
  • Mesa
  • Montrose, Gunnison, and Delta
  • Montezuma, Delores, and La Plata
  • Fremont
  • Alamosa, Conejos, and Rio Grande
