Job Description

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for a Nurse Practitioner/PA to work in a correctional facility in Lumberton, NC. As a Nurse Practitioner you will provide primary care and medical management of offenders in correctional facilities.
Pay-Rate: working 40hrs per week
$62/hr
$65/hr travel rate
Description:

• Conduct thorough physical assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and symptom evaluation. Identify changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members. Administer treatments, medications, and procedures as needed.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress. Interpret diagnostic test results, such as ECGs and lab work. Adjust treatment plans as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. Maintain clear and accurate patient records.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment plans, and aftercare.
• Participate in managing emergency situations, including code blue responses and life-saving interventions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adherence to best practices. Stay updated on the latest medical advances in critical care.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in NC
• Current AHA BLS Card
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
