Job Description Role Summary The mandate of the Pre-Press team is to translate card designs to beautiful, error-free, and quality-checked forms that are ready for press. Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Lead, Pre-Press Retouching to support imaging and color correction of card images and lead a team of operators in line with our Pre-Press team's commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is Photoshop savvy and organized, exhibits strong attention to detail, and brings deep experience in imaging and color correction operations. Candidates with a passion for sports and entertainment will likely find themselves a strong cultural fit.
In this role, you will... - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all visual materials (e.g., images, graphics) align with the highest standards of the business and meet the specific requirements of each project
- Lead and inspire a team of imaging and retouching technicians, providing guidance and support in daily tasks
- Work cross-functionally with photographers, designers, and other stakeholders to achieve desired color results for various projects
- Collaborate with project managers to prioritize and schedule image and color correction tasks according to project deadlines
- Identify and resolve issues related to image quality, resolution, and/or color accuracy
- Foster a collaborative, efficient, and communication-first work environment
- Stay informed on industry best practices, technologies, and software
- Manage and maintain imaging equipment and software to optimal working conditions
- Provide training and development opportunities for junior members of the team
The ideal candidate: - Proven experience (5+ years) in imaging and retouching operations and management
- 3+ years of experience in a management or leadership role
- Proficiency in imaging and retouching software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other specialized color correction/retouching tools
- Strong knowledge of color theory and color management
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
For remote locations in the U.S. this position is $86,000-$107,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. This salary range is specific to remote locations and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
