Physical Therapist candidate should be eager to join a multi-disciplinary team of providers, collaborating to provide an individualized treatment approach that recognizes each child's individual needs and personality.

Our Physical Therapists' Day to Day:

Maintain a caseload of individual physical therapy sessions, small group sessions and daily case management tasks.

Complete daily physical therapy treatment notes, daily data input and analysis, evaluations, plan of care documents and other documentation.

Participate in on-going collaboration with the client's team and family including weekly emails, phone calls and in person discussions.

Establish and maintain relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.

Our Physical Therapists Focus on the Following Interventions:

Early Motor Development such as crawling, walking, jumping, stair climbing, e.g.

Orthotic Assessment, Intervention and Management

Posture control during feeding and other activities of daily living

Pelvic floor and other motor control issues related to toilet training

Family and Team Collaboration and Education

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

Doctorate in Physical Therapy or PTAs with pediatric experience preferred

Licensed Physical Therapist

Experience working with children or clients with special needs is a plus

Blue Bird Day is an intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders. Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have three locations throughout Chicago-land. Our Wheaton location is unique with it's amazing outdoor area and on-site parking lot.
