Multi-Site PSM Engineer in Diboll, TX Job 1798

Our manufacturing client is seeking a full-time Process Safety Engineer to oversee PSM/RMP activities ensuring a safe working environment by providing technical support for PSM requirements and implementing safety measures. The position will be housed in their Diboll, TX location and also cover their locations in Hope, AR and Alexandria, LA. Relocation assistance to the Diboll area from within the US is available.

This job is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide.

What you will be doing:

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and compliance with OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Protocols (RMP) requirements to support the facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Must commute to the facility in Diboll, TX on a daily basis

Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College / University in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Three (3) or more years of PSM/RMP experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing or oil and gas refining

Demonstrated success in hands-on assessments and overseeing all aspects of PSM and RMP standards

Additional Preferred (not required) Competencies:

5 or more years of EHS management experience in manufacturing environments

Professional Certification from a nationally recognized organization

Major Responsibilities:

Partner with plant and operations leadership at all three facilities and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state and local PSM and RMP standards and regulations

Conduct PSM and RMP risk assessments developing remediation plans as needed including mechanical integrity

Conduct incident investigations developing remediation plans as needed

Lead audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed

Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators

Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding PSM/RMP programs

Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local PSM and RMP regulations

Lead employee training programs regarding PSM/RMP compliance
