Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our professional services firm on a part-time basis. This role is critical in developing persuasive, high-quality proposals that showcase our PM/CM services to potential clients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing skills, an understanding of the construction/project management industry, and the ability to transform technical information into compelling content that wins business.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, edit, and finalize proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other client solicitations
• Meticulously review RFP requirements to ensure complete compliance and acceptance of our bids
• Create and manage additional marketing deliverables including capability statements, project profiles, and presentation materials
• Collaborate with technical teams to gather project information and understand service offerings
• Transform complex technical information into clear, persuasive proposal content
• Ensure proposals adhere to submission requirements, formatting guidelines, and deadlines
• Maintain a library of proposal content, past submissions, and boilerplate materials in SharePoint
• Research and analyze potential clients to tailor proposals to their specific needs
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop customized response strategies
• Proofread all materials for grammatical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with branding
• Support the creation of presentation materials for proposal interviews and client meetings
• Track proposal metrics and outcomes to continuously improve win rates

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in professional services, construction, or engineering fields
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, persuasive content with attention to detail
• Proficiency with SharePoint for document management and collaboration
• Experience creating various marketing collateral including brochures, case studies, and digital content
• Experience with proposal management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry preferred
• Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple proposals simultaneously
• Strong research and analytical skills to identify client needs and competitive advantages
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
• Portfolio of writing samples demonstrating proposal experience
