You’ll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with organizational skills to manage campaigns, projects, and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives into the company to inform our perception and direction. You're passionate about shaping the future of technology for everyone. In this role, you will manage various public policy and product-related agendas with policymakers. Google Client Services, part of the GAPP team, manages engagement with officials, legislators, regulators, and third parties in the US. We focus on challenges affecting the Internet, with broad issue areas at the intersection of public policy, business, and technology. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are role, level, and location-dependent. Your recruiter can share specific details during the hiring process. Responsibilities Identify policy issues affecting Google and participate in campaigns to shape policies. Create a positive regulatory environment for growth, protection, and an open internet. Monitor, analyze, and influence state and local policies. Educate stakeholders on Google's policy positions and product impacts. Collaborate with trade associations, industry partners, and nonprofits to support Google's policy goals. Develop community engagement strategies to ensure Google remains an active corporate citizen. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 7 years in policy analysis and campaigns related to technology issues. 7 years in government, think tanks, public interest groups, or corporate public policy. Experience with technology policy in VA, MD, NC, SC, KY, or TN. Preferred qualifications Experience in government relations, political campaigns, or public affairs in the region.
