Position Summary
The Registrar’s Office provides foundational support for the delivery of services to students and faculty across campus. This position assists in design, development, testing, debugging, operating, and troubleshooting of software and applications to support information technology business operations, specifically our degree audit software.
Responsibilities - Reviews application design specifications, codes new applications, and makes enhancements to existing applications, using University systems to identify degree requirements and academic policies in order to effectively translate them into an understandable degree roadmap.
- Tests and debugs programs, and prepares systems test data in which you will develop and utilize test protocols and test cases for uAchieve to ensure quality control.
- Prepares program documentation and training requirements; document, update, and improve policies and procedures involving all aspects of uAchieve and Planner.
- Develops or modifies technical specifications for low-complexity projects using disciplined software development practices
- Maintains and troubleshoots applications, systems, or websites; work closely with collegiate and departmental staff to gather and analyze requirements, while providing feedback on appropriate solutions
- Implements data structure and systems performance strategies; assist with technical upgrades, ongoing maintenance and the continuous improvement of uAchieve, Planner and degree audit
- Assist in the Degree Conferral process; running audits and review all degrees for conferral at the end of each academic term.
- Review audits of graduating students throughout each academic term and notify student and advisors of deficiencies
- Coordinate with the Associate Registrar on running batch audits and establishing a process for degree conferral.
Required: Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Earned Associate’s Degree
- One year of professional experience in a postsecondary institution related to position responsibilities, e.g. degree audit preparation, advising, curricular management, or degree conferral processes
- Strong technical skills including the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy on technical tasks
- Ability to work as a team and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues
Preferred: - Earned Bachelor’s Degree
- Related experience using CollegeSource uAchieve
- Experience with SQL and/or database querying skills
- Professional experience in a Records and Registration Office
