Position: Technical Program Manager, Physical Security Systems

As a Technical Program Manager, Physical Security Systems, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role in delivering secure, reliable, and innovative physical security solutions across a diverse and dynamic portfolio of properties. This is a senior technical role for someone who thrives in the details, can lead complex programs, and is passionate about operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute end-to-end security systems projects, working under the direction of the Physical Security Systems Manager to deliver high-impact solutions from design through deployment.
  • Design and implement integrated security technologies across access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, life safety, and related systems—ensuring operational alignment and technical soundness.
  • Administer and maintain physical security system platforms, including user management, access provisioning, firmware updates, license tracking, health monitoring, and system backups to ensure reliability, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Translate security needs into clear technical specifications, project plans, and deliverables, while balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Take ownership of specific areas of the physical security systems budget, including vendor selection, cost forecasting, and financial tracking—setting this role apart from other technical team members.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects, providing both strategic direction and hands-on execution as needed, including field installation, system commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Travel approximately 25%, both domestically and internationally, to support system installations, vendor oversight, and stakeholder engagement across locations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ten (10)+ years of experience directly managing and implementing complex, high-reliability, physical security systems, in and hands-on, technical capacity.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating autonomously in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with residential and commercial physical security systems; corporate systems experience is also preferred.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of physical security systems, to include experience interpreting technical drawings/architectural plans and programming Genetec, S2, BioConnect, ExacqVision, and Bosch.
  • Experience working with and safeguarding confidential information.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills..
  • Preferred certification (e.g., PMP, ASIS PSP certification, and/or CSPM), but systems certifications may be substituted).
  • Possess valid unrestricted driver’s license, adequate vehicle insurance coverage, and vehicle for use in performing job duties and travel among the Properties.
  • Possess a current passport and be able to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.
