Job Description

Connection Church Sturgis will be a campus of Connection Church Spearfish, with a mission to reach Sturgis, South Dakota with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a Pastor/Church Planter to join us in this vision. The selected candidate will begin with a two-year residency at our main campus in Spearfish, working alongside our elders and staff to gain hands-on experience in church planting and pastoring. After the residency, they will lead the planting of a Campus Church in Sturgis, under the guidance and support of Connection Church Spearfish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the church planting process and provide pastoral leadership at the Sturgis campus.
• Oversee the growth, direction, and community outreach efforts of the campus.
• Preach and lead worship services on a weekly basis.
• Develop, align, and deploy staff and leadership teams in alignment with the church’s mission and beliefs.
• Work closely with the Senior Pastor of Connection Church Spearfish and the Board of Elders.

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to the beliefs and mission of Connection Church Spearfish.
• Ability to develop and lead teams of staff and volunteers.
• Proven leadership, preaching, and pastoral abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Housing (including utilities) and a salary of $20,000 per year for the 2-year residency.
• The role is full-time, but part-time employment may be pursued, if necessary.
