About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for a Behavioral Health assignment in California. This is a unique opportunity to work in a secure, therapeutic environment serving forensic mental health clients in a low-aggression setting. Variable shifts are available, and flexibility is a must.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 26 or 52 weeks
• Shift: Variable (must be flexible)
• Schedule: 5x8s | 40 hours/week
• Overtime: Available as needed (not guaranteed)
• Training Duration: ~30 days (All on day shift)
• Training includes shadowing and early medication certification (no patient care during initial phase)
• Mandatory attendance during training – no RTO allowed

Qualifications:

• Active California LVN license (current or in-process with Senator’s Office expedited processing if needed)
• BLS certification (AHA required)

• Minimum 1 year of LVN experience in any specialty

   

Additional Requirements:

• No RTO allowed during training
• Up to 8 days RTO allowed during contract with 1-month advance notice
• RTO requests must be submitted between the 15th–20th of each month
• No on-call required
• EMR System: Pen and paper charting
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs (Navy Blue or Black preferred)
• PPE: Provided by facility
• Parking: Free onsite parking available

Credentialing & Submission Timeline:

• Submission Deadline: April 24, 2025, by 4:30 PM PT
• Credentialing typically takes 2 weeks
• Feedback from client expected within 5 business days of submission
• Live Scan fingerprinting appointments available on May 5, 7, & 9

Patient Population & Work Environment:

• Forensic mental health clients in a low-aggression , secure treatment setting
• Open campus model with structured movement and scheduled headcounts
• State-regulated staff-to-patient ratios
• Facility amenities include a therapy-focused environment with access to services like a barber shop and facility mall
